Spiritual direction is the practice of working with people as they attempt to deepen their relationship with the divine. Meeting with a spiritual director on a regular basis gives an individual the opportunity to be companioned as they:
- Discern direction in life;
- Become more attentive to God's presence in daily living;
- Develop a more meaningful prayer life;
- Explore deeper faith at times of transition and grief.
Spiritual direction is not:
- Counseling;
- Psychotherapy;
- Financial advising.
Direction sessions usually occur once a month for about an hour.
